RADIUS is a modern, certified women-owned, family-run oral care company inspired by nature and designed with purpose for a better tomorrow. We make sustainable oral care for the whole family – including pets! All design decisions and actions in our company are done with intention. All toothbrushes are designed and manufactured in the USA in our own factory. We examine every step of our product life-cycles -- from prototyping and manufacturing to disposal -- with a focus on sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint.
The RADIUS Team is excited to be working with iLevel’s sales and marketing team to bring our sustainable oral care to our expanding markets across Canada. The RADIUS mission is to make everyday better: better smiles, better living, and a better world. Our partnership with iLevel will help us grow our presence and increase sales across Canada and we’re extremely excited for this new partnership.
Resolutions, Goal Setting and Motivation
“New Year, New Me!” A motto spouted by so many looking at the beginning of the year as being a fresh starting place for goal setting, motivating new routine’s, cutting things out and cultivating better habits towards wellbeing. All in the name of self-improvement, leveling up and fine-tuning quality of life in order to gain some validation, (be it internal or from those around us) of worthiness and capability on this journey of existence.
So we set goals. Make lists. Enroll in classes. Join gyms. Make plans. Buy products. All with the intention to better who we are and where we are. Longevity and quality of life become increasingly top of mind as we age and so we do what we can to get it together! The information age has brought with it ‘solutions’ to all aliments, ways to increase our bank accounts, and thousands of products to improve anything we view as being less than in our overall picture of what it means to be ‘Livin the best life’. Bombarded with instant superstars gracing social media platforms (with their perfect faces, figures and seemingly perfect lives) reaching the entire world promoting products and shaping the picture of what it means to have it all, we follow suit.
We start writing down things we want to accomplish in the new year. A plan, a path, a strategy, a spreadsheet of action items on the road to achieving our best, most rewarding life. We set alarms, create to do lists with color codes, have not to do lists. We wake up early, eat right, set aside time to meditate, exercise, do that repair, clean that mess, learn a new language. Motivation is at an all-time high and you are running on endorphins feeling super accomplished and further ahead then you have ever been.
And then sometimes, life throws in a curve. A pandemic hits. A layoff happens. An injury happens. A loved one dies. Suddenly the things that seemed so important, the things that seemed to matter- don’t matter. The dishes pile up, the Peloton becomes clothing rack and cooking a healthy meal starts to feel hard. All of the outside world is just noise, and you are left alone with questions and no real answers. What is the point? What is the point of setting these goals, making these lifestyle changes and finding ways to upgrade/prove ourselves every new year? Does it really even matter in the big picture?
Psychologically, the commencement of a new year is a celebration of making it through the last in spite of obstacles and hardships that felt like stains to carry on us for eternity. Perhaps the start of a new year does not remove the dirt completely, but it lends a chance for us to take stock of things that weighed down our heads and hearts and find ways to experience more joy and fulfillment to carry us through the next 365 days. A chance to reset the bar and evaluate what is really important.
The scale on which happiness is measured changes from person to person and so does an individual’s purpose. While we can’t plan for things that haven’t happened yet, and we can’t predict tomorrow- it’s so important to remember why we make the lists, why we set the goals and why we look for a fresh start year after year. So even if last year’s list remains incomplete- It’s always a great time to begin again.
